Born and raised in North Dakota, Fred’s upbringing was steeped in the traditions of hunting and fishing alongside his dad and five brothers—activities he continues to enjoy today. He holds a BA in Business Administration with an Economics core from St. John’s University in Minnesota.

Fred’s lifelong passion for investing has focused on assets that deliver sustainable cash flow and long-term appreciation. His investment pursuits have consistently centered on real assets and equities that support multigenerational wealth creation.

Fred’s career spans leadership roles across the global investment landscape. He served as Co-Owner, Portfolio Manager, and Investment Committee Member at Republic Wealth Advisors, which was acquired by Mercer Advisors on December 31, 2019. Prior to Republic, Fred was a Managing Director at Russell Investments and served on the Global Operating Committee, overseeing more than $250 billion in assets.

Fred is the author of Three Generations from the Outhouse, a book offering practical insights into investing in oneself, family, education, entrepreneurship, land, and equities.

Serving on the boards of a private Christian school and his church during the Global Financial Crisis further honed Fred’s leadership skills and strengthened his commitment to community engagement.

Fred is driven by a desire to work the land together with his son, Reagan. Their hands-on experience transforming their Southern Iowa and Northern Missouri farms into both cash-flowing investment properties and robust wildlife sanctuaries has consistently produced superior investment returns and deep personal satisfaction.

When vacationing, Fred enjoys traveling and the great outdoors with his family. He is a fisherman and an avid North American big-game archery hunter.
